Sedona here we come

The kids loved Sedona so much this summer that we decided it was a must to go back. So we are taking a few days next week and heading up to the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort for some cooler weather and fun. This time we decided to do the offroading PINK JEEP tour . All of us are pretty excited to give that a try. All though Ja thinks he can drive it better since he is an avid offroader himself haha!

I have had a few minutes to stop and check on some blogs , and I know I owe a few emails to some of you. I will be back soon , I miss all of you!

He's home!!!

I have been on cloud nine!
We are a family again , at least for the month....but I am not trying to think about that!

It hasn't felt much like the Holidays around our home but I suppose that will all change in just a few shorts days.

more days to be exact! When the love of my life comes home to visit for the holidays! Then my life will be complete ,well at least for a month.lol and then he returns to Korea for a little over 4 more months.

We have waited to do the tree until he gets here and I only put up a smidgen of lights this year around our front door and patio area, no way was I climbing up on any roofs..lol
I haven't really been in the Holiday mood to even decorate , it just feels weird. I will share a photo or 2 of some of my favorite things . Starting with my angel which I love ...here are a few photos of her from last year

I made a few sets of these wooden blocks last year for friends and family, the kids love them.

This is part of the winter village that Austin loves to set up, he makes sure all the houses have lights in them!

Hopefully as I put more stuff out /up in the next week I will get some photos!

My camera is STILL MIA thanks to my own stupidity, I erased the email from CANON that was in my junk email and it had the repair details for my camera! I have emailed them once and gotten no response as of yet, but I have hope!

Tales of a POSSESSED SUV...

So the last time I took my ENVOY to go get an oil change and be detailed I ended up having a flat tire the very next day. Now mind you all these sorts of things are perfectly OK and normal when the hubby is home and not 6000 miles away!

Last night I get the brilliant idea to go out in the garage and vacuum and clean it myself , no washing because as I type it is still raining here in ARIZONA , yes I said RAIN...lol.

So almost 2 hours later I am completely done with my little endeavor, and I was going to move the car back out of the garage , go to start it and its dead! No lights but weird noises are coming out of the dash and I am freaked out. I call Ja at work in KOREA and tell him what is happening. Well he knows that the thing was parked half way in the garage and I needed to move it either in or out. So after a bit he tells me to put it in neutral and let it roll, so I do this and since my driveway is on a bit of an incline it rolls , but then stops and I am still half in half out.....

Getting frustrated and just wanting to wait till the morning to call someone... I put it in park and go to get out and MY KEY WONT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION!!!! Holy cow my hubby thinks at this point I have lost my marbles. I am totally flipping out , because I sit there and watch my speedometer say I am going 45 mph ,lights flashing the ONSTAR stuff was lighting up and all other sorts of craziness is happening. I am thinking my car is going to lock me in and drive off with me next .Like a scene right out of TRANSFORMERS! It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen.

He assures me that he thinks it may all just be the battery died , so I call my very best BFF MARIA and have her come over today and we go to get a new one and that was a whole other adventure! All I can say is I LOVE THIS GIRL and dont know what I would have done this past year without her!

Like I said before all these sorts of thing are FINE WHEN YOUR HUSBAND IS NOT 6000 MILES AWAY!!!

I vow to have a dirty car for the remainder of my time here in the United States because who knows what will happen the next time I try to wash or vacuum it!

It's cookie time

I am enjoying scoping out all the blogs this morning and finding some great new recipes.You can too , just stop on by the sweet JESSI NAGY blog and check out all the links for her cookie exchange. I will definitely be trying a few.

In our house we love anything peanut , peanut butter or chocolate, who doesn't right? I was given this recipe a few years back while we lived in Germany and have been making it ever since.

Chunky Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies

1 1/4 cups flour

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 egg

1/2 tsp. salt 1tsp. vanilla

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup butter/margarine (softened)

1/2 cup coarsely chopped peanuts

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Combine flour, baking soda,salt and cinnamon in small bowl.

Beat butter , sugar, brown sugar and peanut butter in larger bowl until creamy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla

Gradually beat in the flour mixture

Stir in the chocolate chips and peanuts ,mix well.

Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Press down slightly to flatten.

Bake in preheated 375 oven for 7- 10 minutes or until edges are set but centers are still soft. Let stand a few minutes before removing to cool.

Makes about 3 Dozen cookies

An update on baby Rori, she was taken off the bypass machine and has been getting better everyday but still in the hospital. Thank you so much for all your warm wishes , thoughts and prayers!
